Once upon a time, there was a snail who loves traveling around.

The snail dreamed of going on a trip to the United States. All the animals laughed at it and thought it was impossible for a snail to travel that far.

On a rainy day, the snail decided to leave the small tree it was hiding under, and began its journey.

It slowly strolled around and admired the scenery along the road.

Meanwhile, a rabbit ran towards the snail, it looked very grumpy. It had just lost its race with the tortoise because it overslept.
‘You silly snail,’ snapped the grumpy rabbit.
‘Do you think you could really walk to the United States with this speed? You must be dreaming!’

The snail remembered what its mother once told it, that persistence is the boat that takes one to his dream. It ignored the rabbit and continued its journey.

On its way, the snail heard the sound of bomber planes that came from afar. It looked up and saw its predator, the firefly squad.

Seeing that there was nowhere for the snail to hide, King Firefly grinned, ‘seize the snail, my fellow fireflies!’
The snail was desperate to get away. He fired the slimy mucus at the fireflies. They were glued on the spot and the snail crawled away as fast as it could.

The snail crawled and crawled. It was so thirsty that it could not see where it was heading, and reached a flower shop.

It slowly crawled to a sunflower leaf.
Just then, a girl came to the sunflower with a pot.
‘My dear babies, here I come.’ She sang as she poured water on the plants.
The cold water was heaven-sent and the snail savored each precious droplet that fell from the petals.

After the snail had had some water, it looked around and discovered how big the flower shop was. The shopkeepers were busy packing flowers, which would be shipped to different parts of the world.

On one of the bouquets, the snail was amazed to see the tag ‘America’. The snail had an idea. It slowly crawled into the bouquet.

Following the bouquet, the snail flew all the way to the United States, where a journey of a lifetime awaited it.
