Once there was a smart mouse. He has a big eye and a small eye with a sniffy nose.
One day he went to the forest because he wanted to find some food. On his journey he was bored and wanted to have some excitement.

Suddenly there was a tiger coming towards him. The tiger looked very hungry and wanted to eat him. The mouse was shocked but not frightened. He used a long and two rocks to make a seesaw in front of the tiger. Then the mouse screamed, ‘There’s a bee behind you!’

The tiger was scared of bees, so he carelessly stepped on the seesaw. The rock slammed to the tiger’s heart. BAMMMMM!! The tiger died. The mouse kept walking into the deep forest.

Then there was a snake who was hungry too. He also wanted to eat the mouse. The mouse found a rock which looked alike him and scattered some leaves to hide himself in a log. The snake could not see him clearly and he ate the ‘fake mouse’.

Suddenly the snake yelled, ‘AH!’ He died because he had swallowed a rock. Therefore, the mouse could keep going deeper and deeper into the forest. The more he went deeper, the more animals noticed him.

Then there was a cat who met the mouse. The mouse suggested, ‘I give you some fish. Please don’t eat me.’ The cat agreed. Soon the mouse found some fish for the cat. However, he had put some dirt inside.

When the cat bit the fish, his teeth became so dirty and he ate the dirt too. The mouse laughed and laughed. He tickled the cat so the cat could not stop laughing and he went away.

The mouse made and put on a lion mask on his face and shouted, ‘I am a lion!’ All the animals ran away. Suddenly a real lion appeared. The lion wanted to eat him. The tricky mouse used a log to make some pricks.

He put the pricks near the back of the lion. He told the lion, ‘Your favourite food is behind you. Look at your back.’ When the lion turned to his back, the pricks hurt him. The mouse ran away immediately.

The mouse finally arrived at a cottage. Inside there was a piece of cheese and a cup of hot tea. He took a sip and enjoyed a peaceful time in the afternoon in the deep dark forest.
Small animals can be so clever. Their small tricks can win big animals.
