There was a boy named Tom, who had no confidence and no friends, so he was always very lonely. At school, students always laughed at him, because he never try anything and will cry if he doesn't know how to do the things that others knew how to do.

At home, no one loved him because of his poor results. Tom always lock himself in the bedroom crying continuously for 5 hours... 6 hours... 7 hours... .

One day, his Mum and Dad saw Tom’s exam marks for Math: 60 marks! Now, they are very worried about Tom failing in the next exam. "Oh no! What can we do?" Asked Dad nervously. "Um... Ah! I've got a plan..." Said Mum hopefully.

The next afternoon, Tom's Mum dressed up as a very beautiful fairy, and Tom immediately fell in love with her. Tom decided to do what the 'fairy' said. The 'fairy' told Tom to trust himself that he could pass the next test to make his parents happy. Tom promised her.

The next day, Tom's class had a Math test. He did what the fairy said which resulted him in getting great results. His mark was the highest in class, 98 marks out of 100. Now, Tom is very proud of himself.

When Tom got back home, he seemed very happy, his parents felt strange and asked him what happened. Tom told them happily that he got 98 marks in the test and was very proud. After mum heard the news, she knew she would have to change into the 'fairy' again.

The next morning, Tom's Mum dressed up as the 'fairy' and asked Tom "I heard that you've got 98 marks in the Math test, right?" "Yep!" Answered Tom proudly. "Good job! But you shouldn't be proud alright?" "Sure." Said Tom, but he wasn't paying attention.

Three days later, Tom's class had an English test, but this time, he didn't listen to the 'fairy' and only got 79.5 marks out of 100. Now, Tom knew he's wrong about being proud and he felt very guilty.

A week later, Tom's class had a Chinese test. Tom didn't feel proud of himself and got 96 marks although his Chinese was the worst before. He felt very depressed.

After about ten tests and exams, Tom often got 90-100 marks. He was always praised by teachers and many teachers gave Tom gifts because of his politeness and great improvement. Now, Tom became very confident and is willing to try everything that is new for him.

Soon, Tom learnt to be kind and generous and many students like him more day by day. At home, his parents both loved him very much. He lived happily every day.

When he was 29 years old, he succeeded to be a scientist. Later, he became very famous because of his creativity and great inventions. He never gives up and always tried his best. Tom is very successful, we should learn to trust ourselves and believe that you can do it!
