Once upon a time, there was a beautiful fairy called Doter. She had long yellow hair with a ponytail. She lived in a small village in the sky. All of the people admired her because Doter always gave toys to them and she never shouted at others.

Peter was a thin greedy boy. He lived in a small village in England. One day, Doter gave the gifts to the people. Peter received one. At midnight, he sneaked into people’s houses and stole their gifts. Peter said gleefully, ‘Ha! Ha! All of the gifts are mine.’

The next morning, all of the people were very angry when they found their gifts were missing.

Doter the fairy knew it was Peter who stole all of the gifts. She wanted to teach Peter a lesson. That day, Doter gave the gifts to people as usual but she changed the gifts.

At night, Peter stole all of the gifts from people’s houses again. Then, he ran back home quickly. He found that all of the gifts were stones. Peter was very shocked and disappointed. He did not know the reason but he could not ask anyone about it.

TThe people were very cross after they found their gifts missing again. They had an idea to find out who the thief was. One night, all the people pretended to fall asleep. Peter sneaked into people’s houses again. The people found out that it was Peter who stole their gifts.

All of the people were very mad. They did not talk to Peter anymore. Peter had no friends in the village. He felt lonely. Peter was very upset.

Peter sat under a tree and cried. Doter pretended she knew nothing. She asked, ‘Peter, why are you so unhappy? What’s wrong with you?’Peter told Doter about what he did. Doter asked Peter, ‘How do you feel if someone steals your belongings?’ Peter answered, ‘I will feel very angry.’

Doter told Peter she switched the gifts to stones. Peter was shocked. Doter said a greedy person would get nothing in the end. Peter understood what Doter meant. He felt very sorry for what he did.

The next day, Peter returned all of the gifts to the people and promised not to do this again. All of the people in the village forgave Peter and made friends with him again.
