Once upon a time, there was an adventurer. His name was Pirate Ben. He liked the ocean and the sunset. He owned a ship called SSLine. He liked to sail in his boat and started his adventure in the deep deep ocean.
Pirate Ben wanted to publish a book which was about adventurous stories. While he was sailing, he wrote all the travels and experiences in his journal. He had done it for several years. There were only a few chapters to get finished before terrible things happened on him.
Once he was diving in the ocean, he saw some seaweed, some crabs, some sea turtles, a dolphin and a fish. They were really happy because the ocean water was clear. There was no rubbish or trash. It was not polluted. The seawater was blue in colour.
Pirate Ben went to an island and he saw a sandy beach. It was formed by dead corals washed to the shore, making it as white as cotton. On top of the hill, he saw a mysterious thing. He was curious that it might be another adventure.
When Pirate Ben walked to the top of the hill, he saw a desk. It seemed to be an antique. There were two drawers. One of them had got wheels, teeth, gears which looked like a machine. Suddenly, a gust of wind hauled him into the drawer of machine.
Pirate Ben was inside the machine. The machine brought him to a future city. The electronic clock showed it was the year 2078. He could see floating taxis and single rails. The tables in the canteen were made of cardboards, People's clothes were trendy but they wore masks!
The coastline was straight because of reclamation. Pirate Ben thought the city was made up of rubbish as the whole city was reclaimed. Houses were tiny as there were many people. There were several runways but were short because high technology allowed planes to pop up quickly.
However, Pirate Ben was not excited when he saw the disgusting ocean. When he dived, he could not see the sea creatures. The ocean was full of trash. The seahorse was hooked. The crab was stuck inside a plastic cup. The sea turtle had got a necklace.
Pirate Ben tried to escape. First, he sailed in a wooden boat but the propeller was tangled in the rubbish and stuck with sticky oil. It was too harsh to row forward. He was frustrated.
Next, he tried to escape in an air balloon. But the air was foggy, misty and stuffy, causing a layer of smog. It was hard to see the sky.
Pirate Ben tried to escape in a van. He crossed a bridge and saw the same hill where he came from. He saw the old desk again. He sucked his leg into the drawer and went back to the real world.
After all, Pirate Ben did not publish a book about sailing. Instead, he published another book named "Save the Earth".1 / 13
