Many years ago in an old kingdom the king had a beautiful daughter. She was called Princess Alina.
The king wanted to find a husband for Alina but he knew many of the men in the kingdom were not good men and only wanted to marry her to become rich.

The king was a clever man and he decided on a plan to find out who were the good men in the kingdom.
In the mountains there lived a fierce scary dragon. The king went to visit the dragon.
“Dragon, I need your help,” the king said.

The king explained his problem. He said, “I want you to fly to the palace and kidnap my daughter and take her to the mountain.”
    The dragon said, “Why?”
“When men come to rescue her I want you to test them to see if they have a good heart.”

The dragon agreed to only release Princess Alina to a man with a good heart.
So, the next day the dragon flew to the palace and stole the princess.
The princess screamed but the dragon said, “Don’t worry,” and he explained the king’s plan.

In the kingdom, a brave knight called Logan saw what happened and said to the king, “Don’t worry. I can rescue her from the fierce dragon.”
    The king said, “Good luck!”
The next day Logan set off on the long walk to the mountain.
    Finally, he arrived exhausted.

“What do you want?” the dragon asked.
“I’ve come to save the princess,” Logan said proudly.
“I won’t release the princess but I can give you…”
The dragon revealed a treasure chest full of gold and beautiful jewellery.
“You will be the richest man in the kingdom.”

Logan was not rich and he had never seen so much money before but he was worried for the princess’s safety.
So, he said, “No, I must have the Princess.”
The dragon was impressed so he tried to tempt him again.

“How about I give you this wormhole crystal? It can take you anywhere in the world in one second,” said the dragon.
Logan was amazed but he refused the gift as he feared the dragon would hurt Alina if he left.
“No, I must take the Princess,” Logan demanded.

The dragon was impressed, but the knight had to pass one more test.
Suddenly, Princess Alina came out from a room and said, “I will NOT marry the man who saves me.”
The dragon said, “Yes, I will only let her go safely if you agree NOT to marry her.”

Logan was very disappointed as he was deeply in love with the beautiful princess and wanted to marry her more than money, jewellery or wormhole crystals. However, he knew the only way to safely rescue her was to never marry her.
So he said sadly, “Yes I agree.”

Suddenly, the king appeared from a small room behind the dragon.
“What is going on?” said Logan.
The king explained his plan to Logan and said, “Logan, you have proved you have a good heart. I allow you to marry the princess as I now know you truly love her.”

Logan was shocked, “Oh my gosh!” he shouted.
“I do love you Princess Alina. I would never let you get hurt.”
Princess Alina hugged and kissed Logan.
The dragon and the king smiled happily.

Logan and Princess Alina were married the next week in the beautiful palace. The wedding was wonderful with lots of yummy food and music and dancing. Everyone came and even the dragon was invited too!
Prince Logan and Princess Alina lived happily ever after together in the kingdom.
