You may think Ella is an ordinary dog, but Ella is actually a very special dog. She has SUPER sharp hearing and eyesight. She can also smell from far, far away! Ella and her best friend Samara are ALWAYS into adventures and mysteries. Their adventure is just beginning…
Samara and Ella landed at the Sri Lanka airport. They were going to Sri Lanka for a summer holiday, but little did they know that a GREAT adventure awaited them. Samara was looking forward to seeing the famous Dambulla cave temples.
Legend says that long ago there was a king who fought with his enemy and lost. The king hid in these caves for fourteen YEARS!!! After that he regathered his army, and this time he won! He came back to decorate the caves with images of the Great Buddha.
Back to the adventures of Ella and Samara - There were five magnificent caves. Each cave was beautifully decorated with statues and paintings of Buddha. The guide told Samara and Ella an interesting fact about Buddha - Buddha had VERY long ears, which is seen as a sign of intelligence!
As Samara and Ella continued exploring the caves, they came across a HUGE bell in the fifth cave. “This is a Stupa” said the guide. “In the olden days, kings put their jewels inside the Stupa. But ten years ago, some thieves broke the Stupa and STOLE all the jewels!”
Suddenly, Ella started barking excitedly and pulling Samara’s leg. "Maybe Ella is trying to tell us something." said Samara. "Lets follow her." Ella ran out of the cave and came across a HUGE rock, and immediately started digging around the rock. As Ella continued digging, something shiny started to appear!
At LAST they saw why Ella was barking…….ELLA HAD FOUND THE STOLEN JEWELS!!
News of this amazing discovery spread everywhere, and soon Ella and Samara became local celebrities! Their Sri Lanka adventure had come to an end, but their NEXT adventure was not far away . . .1 / 8
