Once upon a time, there was a fox called Nick. One day, he was walking in a forest. He had not eaten anything for a week. He said, ‘I’m very hungry! I want to eat meat.’ Suddenly, he saw a mouse. He said, ‘That’s my lunch!’

Nick caught the mouse. He opened its big mouth and was ready to eat the mouse. The mouse was afraid. ‘No no! I’m not yummy. Don’t eat me.’

He thought of a good idea to escape. He said, ‘Fox, you’re clever. You can answer all my questions, right?’ ‘Of course!’ answered the fox. ‘If you can answer my questions, then you can eat me.’ ‘Ha ha! Go ahead!’ laughed Nick.

'A man wants to get some bananas from a tree so he kicks the apple tree. How long does he need to get the bananas?’ asked the mouse. Nick replied, ‘One week?’ The mouse said, ‘No! He can never get bananas from an apple tree!’

‘The second question. Which place has the most animals and it’s very safe?’ asked the mouse. ‘Forest!’ answered Nick. A forest has many animals!’ ‘I’m sorry, Fox. You’re wrong. The correct answer is a zoo.’

‘Let me go! If you don’t eat me, I promise I’ll help you one day,’ the mouse said. ‘What? You can help me?’ the fox laughed. ‘Go away, little mouse,’ the fox continued.

A few days later, the mouse was looking for food in the forest. Suddenly he heard a loud scream. It was Nick. He was caught by a human. ‘Help me!’ Nick shouted. The mouse ran quickly to the man and bite him.

The man was in great pain. He shouted loudly and tried to get away from the mouse. The mouse did not give up. He continued to bite the man. The man ran away and Nick was free.

The fox was moved and said to the mouse, ‘Thank you so much! If you don’t save me, I must have died!’ The mouse replied, ‘No problem! Can we be friends? Two friends who always help each other.’ The fox nodded his head and said, ‘Sure!’
